Past Life
Regression
A term used to
describe the act of materializing previously experience psychic
content (memories, fantasies, etc.) so that it may be
therapeutically evaluated and work on according to the methods
and techniques developed by “Past Life Therapies.”
“In Past Life
Therapy, we say that we go back in time, which is just a figure
of speech, because we can only really orient ourselves towards
the future as we remain continuously in the present. With Past
Life Regression we really mean: contact the past that we carry
with us now. We don’t go back to past experiences and past
lives but to the restrained pas that we carry with us now. We
aren’t time travelers, but rather detectives and surgeons in our
own film production…carrying with us a problematic past with
dark, unresolved shadows and undigested left-overs. During a
therapeutic regression, one assimilates a past episode in an
effort to evaluate, relive, and integrate it, finally freeing
oneself and achieving a sense of resolve.”
Resistance –
In order to achieve success during the
therapeutic process it is necessary to overcome various
challenges and difficulties. The subconscious’ tendency to
elaborate and integrate with the conscious mind is one of the
greatest challenges when trying to gain access to subconscious
content. Resistance appears most frequently when one approaches
deep, internal content that conflicts with our self-image and
with our values, beliefs and identities.
Trauma –
A trauma
occurs when a person has a life experience of such emotional
intensity and strength that the ego (consciousness) is unable to
absorb it. Every trauma generates psychic sequels. “During a
trauma we lost ourselves. The ego escapes, it gives up. A
trauma begins with an intense experience, after which, the ego
collapses. We no longer think consciously. We are reduced to
a scared animal or to a confused robot.”
